One of the most common complaints I hear from pregnant women is about their frequent bouts of yeast infection. During pregnancy, estrogen levels are very high causing your body to produce more glycogen and be more susceptible to yeast infections. The hallmarks of a yeast infection are:
1. Thick, curdly, white vaginal discharge
2. Vaginal and vulvar itching
A simple to trick to counter this problem is to increase your intake of yeast containing foods such as live- active yogurt cultures such as cottage cheese. The yeast in these foods feed on sugar and reduce your sugar levels.
